Photographer

We've chosen our photographer! It is the amazing Elizabeth Ray. This was a hard decision but I'm happy with it. She's super fun and exciting and her style is unique and vintage inspired. Here's some of my fav pics of hers:

This was the last of my top three. 1. Location 2. Food 3. Photographer. Now I'm working on a useful magnet for the save-the-date and the website. Which I hope to have finished by the beginning of the year. Ambitious, much?

We set the date, booked the venue, and are interviewing photographers on Thursday. I made this little movie to celebrate.

There is a cat missing but it's grace and she's doing the filming. So there.

Research (Pretty Much) Done

When it came time to begin planning the wedding, I had already done most of the work. After all, this is my job. I already had two very distinct possibilities planned out in my head.

The first was a magical, twilight, southern plantation wedding with the rare opportunity to be able to design the entire event from scratch. The other a parisian-inspired, french quarter city wedding with a ceremony at the symbol of New Orleans, St. Louis Cathedral. After much exploration and a rather nasty experience with a certain priest, we decided to go with this place

The Grand Oaks Mansion.

Without giving too much away, it's a pretty awesome space.

Engagement Announced

On June 6th, 2002 a really cute boy asked me if he could kiss me.
On the 6th of June 2009, he asked me to marry him.
I made this the next day to send out to all family & friends.

That was our engagement announcement. It went out in emails and on facebook.
